1. Check the qualification and enterprise background of the manufacturer. Mainly to see if big big brand, is committed to the r&d and production of fiber optic cable, whether there are a lot of successful cases, whether to have the ISO9001 quality system certification, ISO4OO1 international environment system certification, is in line with the ROHS directive, is there a certification of the relevant domestic and international institutions. Such as the ministry of information industry, tyre, UL and other certifications.

2. View product packaging. Optical cable supply standard plate length, generally 1km,2km,3km,4km and custom length specification, allowing positive and negative deviation, deviation range can refer to manufacturer's factory standard. Check the outer sheath of the cable, whether it has the number of meters, the name of the factory, the type of cable and other obvious signs. In general, the factory cable around the solid wood plate, with A wooden board protection, sealing on both ends of the cable, cable tray has the following logo: product name, specification, plate number, length, net/gross weight, date, A/B side marks, etc.; Check the cable test record, normally there are two copies, one with the cable tray in the side of the wooden plate, open the cable optical cable to see, a fixed on the outside of the wooden plate.

Check the outer skin of the cable. Indoor fiber-optic cables are usually made of polyethylene, or flame retardant polyethylene, or low-smoke halogen free materials. The superior quality of the appearance is smooth and bright, feel good. Have good flexibility, easy to peel off. The poor quality of the fiber optic cable is not good. When peeling, the outer skin is easy to be adhered to inside, and there are some products that are used to replace the aramid materials. The PE sheath of outdoor cable should be made of high quality black polyethylene, and the outer skin is smooth, bright, thick and uniform without small bubbles. Poor quality fiber optic cable, the outer skin is not smooth, some printing is easy to smear. Due to raw materials, some optical fiber cable has poor density and moisture permeability.

Look at reinforcing wire. A lot of structure of outdoor fiber cable, generally contain the steel wire that strengthens. According to the technical requirements and production requirements, the steel wire in the outdoor cable is to be treated with phosphating, and the surface is gray, which does not increase the loss of hydrogen, rust and strength. But some fiber cable is replaced by wire or even aluminum wire, the metal appearance is white, the bending performance is poor. In addition, some simple methods can be used to identify them. For example, if the fiber optic cable is opened in the water for one day, it will be compared with the original one. As the saying goes, true gold does not fear fire. 5. Check the longitudinal bandaged steel armor belt. Regular manufacturers generally use double - sided coating of rust - resistant coating, and ring - wrap joint is good, relatively firm and rigorous. However, we also found that some optical cables in the market use plain iron as the armor belt, usually only one side for anti-rust treatment, and see that the thickness of the longitudinal bandage steel belt is obviously inconsistent.
